We are seeking passionate, dedicated teachers/mentors interested in part-time work (2-8 hours per week) teaching children ages 8-14 at a homeschool resource center. We are looking for mentors who can guide children in specific areas and use a hands-on approach. Experience working with children is strongly encouraged. A teacher certification is not required unless you are looking for 12 hours a week as our certified teacher, who can teach a wide range of subjects using a project-based, hands-on approach.

What we are looking for:

1. Certified teacher to work P/T (hours would likely be Monday-Thursday, from 9-12pm). A teacher certification is required for this position. 2. Extracurricular teacher who wants to work flexible hours, likely Mon-Thurs, in the afternoons, from 12-3pm. Candidates can work one day a week, or more depending on experience and the variety of subjects they can teach. (No certification needed) The areas we are looking for: are:

• Robotics
• STEM focused projects
• Art therapy (no certification required)
• Arts and crafts
• Animal therapy (no certification required- but comfortable around farm animals)
• Animal-centered classes, animal science
• Movement- Physical Ed, Yoga, Qigong
• Social studies We are creating an environment where children learn in a fun, engaging way.

We create our own curricula and timelines. The candidates we are looking for are comfortable working with different levels of learning, from neurodivergent, to autistic, dyslexic, to gifted and advanced, and anywhere in between. Our homeschool will be opening its doors at the end of October. We are looking for mentors that can start p/t in late October to early November. Our school schedule follows the public school guidelines for holiday breaks. Our alternative approach to learning is to cater to children that don't thrive in public school environments of strict curriculums, grades, testing, and harsh rules. We are creating a relaxed environment.

This role involves designing and implementing tailored curricula that meet individual learning needs, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students' academic and social development. We are looking for a project-based learning focus, with life-skills, and developing passions as the focus.
