Programming Reports to: Director of Arts Integration Part-time Position Position Summary The Out of School Time Instructor (OSTI) supports the mission of the Susan and Dom Telesco Center for Creative Education (CCE) by providing high-quality, arts-based learning experiences for students across the County. The OSTI delivers engaging, standards-aligned lessons and activities that use the arts to build creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and Skills for Learning and Life. Programs are offered after school and during the day in the summer. This is a part-time position with instructional opportunities varying by quarter based on program schedules and school needs. A position with the organization does not guarantee instructional assignments or hours each quarter. The OSTI is expected to maintain professionalism, uphold CCE's educational philosophy, and foster meaningful relationships with students, teachers, and community partners through engaging arts-based programming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate a willingness to participate in and facilitate age-appropriate, arts-based activities that promote creativity while supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students. Design, modify, and/or implement creative and challenging learning opportunities that are developmentally appropriate and engaging. These lessons are based on the National Core Art Standards and the Florida State Standards and organized using CCE's lesson plans and templates. Make an ongoing effort to maintain high quality afterschool programming by reflecting upon sessions and revising lesson plans and teaching methods to maximize student engagement and curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Develop professional relationships with staff at sites and within CCE to foster partnerships and effective collaboration. Attend all professional development workshops hosted by CCE. Attendance at workshops outside of CCE will also be recognized by CCE during annual evaluations. Documentation will be placed in personnel file at CCE. As funding permits, accept and teach at a minimum of three sites per program year. Complete all administrative duties, planning, and preparation needed for instructional units and lessons, including submitting schedules and ordering supplies in a timely manner, and submitting receipts if necessary. Agree to participate in the OSTI evaluation program. Respond to feedback in a timely manner and demonstrate efforts to incorporate and remedy suggested improvements. Negotiate confirmation forms with all sites and adhere to that agreement. Submit requests for payment and all required documentation (attendance, outcomes, surveys, etc.) by due dates. Arrive promptly, properly attired, and prepared to work with students. Abide by all school/site regulations while working at a school/site. Professionally represent CCE at meetings and events. Meet with relevant site staff as necessary to maintain high quality programming. Abide by CCE's policies regarding the restriction of photography, videography, and social media posts. Complete any additional tasks as they arise, per request of program managers or as needed. Education and/or

Work Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children K-5 Have professional personal presentation including good hygiene, professional dress, and friendly attitude. Demonstrate reliability and consistency. Be aware of and comply with CCE's policies regarding photography, videography, and social media posts. Must successfully pass Level II background check. Must be cleared through E-Verify with Homeland Security to work in the United States. Must complete and pass the Child Abuse Reporting Training Certificate issued by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).

Social media activity must not compromise student privacy, organizational reputation, or professional conduct. Violations of these standards may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
