Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic After School Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children after school hours 2-7pm. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising children, facilitating educational and recreational activities, and supporting their social and emotional development. Responsibilities Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, arts and crafts, sports, theater, and other recreational programs that promote childhood development Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies Assist with homework tutoring and support children's early childhood education needs Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences Ensure compliance with safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response plans Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive environment that supports special education needs when applicable Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting is highly preferred Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid and CPR is strongly desired Background in early childhood education or childhood development is advantageous Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with special education requirements Strong communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members professionally Enthusiasm for creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment that encourages learning through play and creative activities Join us as an After School Teacher to inspire young minds while gaining valuable experience in education, childcare, sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling.
