Job Overview Join our vibrant after-school program as a dedicated After-School Group Leader! In this dynamic role, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children after school hours. Your energy and enthusiasm will inspire young learners to explore, grow, and develop essential skills through fun activities, educational support, and positive interactions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while fostering a love for learning and community connection. Responsibilities Supervise and manage groups of children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and creativity Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive environment conducive to learning and fun Assist with homework help, tutoring, or educational exercises tailored to individual student needs Ensure adherence to first aid protocols, including administering basic first aid or CPR when necessary Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other staff to support each child's unique needs and progress Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity areas, ensuring compliance with safety standards such as AED operation and emergency procedures Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp programs, tutoring, or youth activities is highly preferred Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain upon hire is required Experience in special education or working with children with special needs is a plus Background in sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, or youth programs enhances your ability to engage children creatively Proven ability to foster a safe environment through behavior management techniques and child care best practices Join us in creating a joyful after-school experience that empowers children to thrive! Pay:
