Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-time Teacher to join our team for the after school enrichment program. The position is perfect for teachers, retirees and college students looking for a flexible schedule and supplemental income. In this role, you will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children after school, facilitating their learning and development through engaging activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to manage a classroom effectively while promoting positive behavior and fostering educational growth. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with students in a safe and supportive environment. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards. Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social, emotional, and academic development. Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing behavior management techniques as needed. Provide assistance with homework and tutoring in various subjects. Organize recreational activities, including sports, arts, and crafts to promote physical activity and creativity. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and any concerns. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space. Requirements Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, or tutoring is preferred. Strong classroom management skills to maintain a productive learning environment. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Must pass background check Must have own transportatipn, ride share. Ability to demonstrate effective behavior management strategies. A passion for teaching and nurturing young minds through creative play and structured learning. Dedication and commitment to work schedule with punctuality. ​​ Flexibility and adaptability to feedback from management, School support team and parents.
