Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Provide attentive toddler care and classroom management to ensure a safe, nurturing environment for children of preschool age. Support children with special education needs and participate in early intervention strategies to promote inclusive learning experiences. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, behavior management, and classroom engagement. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and classroom activities to foster strong home-school connections. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure all safety protocols are followed, including first aid and CPR certification. Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons, organize classroom materials, and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential; preschool or classroom experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and childhood welfare standards. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom dynamics as a floater or substitute teacher. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is a plus. Experience teaching physical education or working with standardized testing processes is advantageous.
