We are a locally owned after-school and summer enrichment provider. Keiki Coders teaches coding and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math), and Keiki Athletes runs multi-sport and dance programs, for students in grades K-8. Keiki Coders alone has taught over 1,100 students across Oʻahu, and we're growing our impact through hands-on, engaging, and creative learning experiences. Summary We're looking for caring and enthusiastic part-time instructors to lead early elementary enrichment classes (K-5) at public and private schools across the island, primarily around Honolulu.
We hire across two tracks:
Keiki Coders — coding and STEAM classes. No coding experience required (we train you!). Keiki Athletes — multi-sport and dance classes, such as flag football and K-pop dance. No specialized background required (we train you!). This is a great role for anyone who loves working with young children and wants to make a positive impact. Location:
Most programs are in the greater Honolulu metropolitan area. A few programs in Kailua/Kaneohe. Pay per hour of enrichment class: $45/hr for undergrad students and $50/hr for graduates and/or returning teachers Qualifications Experience working with young children (K-6) in any setting: teaching, tutoring, coaching, camps, etc. Passion for education, creativity, and inspiring kids Strong classroom management and communication skills Reliable transportation to get to assigned school sites College coursework, an associate's degree or higher, or proof of certification through a local assessment that meets the requirements of the "Every Student Succeeds Act". Availability on at least two days between 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday Ability to lift and carry 20-40 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations. Valid driver's license or State ID. Must pass background check (DOE or private school requirements) Duties Lead fun, hands-on classes in coding and STEAM, or multi-sport and dance, depending on your track (curriculum provided) Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Manage classroom behavior with warmth and consistency Set up and pack up materials or equipment for each class session Communicate with school staff and the Keiki team Supervise student safety during class times (typically after-school hours)
