Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality instruction for children in a 4-year-old SWVPP/ Head Start classroom
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities
  • Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Work collaboratively with staff, families, school district personnel, and support services
  • Maintain classroom routines and follow program and school calendar schedules
  • Promote school readiness in alignment with Head Start Program Performance Standards, SWVPP requirements, and applicable Iowa early childhood standards
