Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated School Program Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. This role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of students as they begin their day early and when they leave later in the day. The School Program Staff will play a vital role in promoting positive behavior and encouraging student participation in various activities. This job is a leadership role in our school as they open and close our school hours. The hours are 7-8am and 3-5pm. Attendance and timeliness is essential and crucial to the role demands. Candidates must be confident with mixed age ratios of children, ages 2 years-5 years of age and demonstrate excellent attendance. Responsibilities Checking students in and out of Brightwheel (app used for attendance and messaging families) Supervise students during play and planned activities. Provide first aid as needed and ensure the health and safety of all students. Engage with students to promote their social, emotional, and academic development. Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other staff members regarding student progress. Participate in training sessions related to childhood development and behavior management. Standing, walking, lifting, and changing diapers is required. Skills CPR Certification is a PLUS! Knowledge of first aid procedures to ensure student safety. Teaching experience or familiarity with early childhood education principles is advantageous. Background in childcare, camp counseling, or daycare settings is beneficial. Understanding of behavior management techniques to support positive student interactions. Demonstrating a Christian lifestyle and effectively showing Christ's love to our students is very important.
