Duties Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies. Facilitate engaging activities that cater to various learning styles and developmental needs of children in early childhood through elementary levels. Monitor student progress through formative assessments, standardized testing data, and ongoing performance evaluations to tailor instruction effectively. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and integrating educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements through conferences and written updates. Support students with special needs or those requiring early intervention by adapting instructional strategies and providing targeted mentoring or tutoring. Qualifications Proven experience teaching young children in classroom settings, including elementary school teaching experience or early childhood education roles. Strong knowledge of curriculum implementation, lesson planning, classroom management, and differentiated instruction techniques. Familiarity with educational technology integration, learning technology tools, and data analysis related to student performance. Experience working with students with autism or special education needs is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and team engagement. Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and developmental stages. Relevant certifications or training in childhood development, literacy education, math instruction, behavior management or Montessori methods are advantageous.
