Science Teacher - Owensboro Catholic Middle School Owensboro Catholic Schools has an immediate opening for full-time Science teacher at OCMS. The ideal candidate would be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who has a Science Education degree and has a passion for teaching adolescents. Essential Job Functions Provide daily Science instruction for students in grades 7-8 Use best practices to provide effective instruction and positive, consistent classroom management Communicate with students, parents, and other stakeholders in a professional and positive manner Function as a cooperative, productive team member at OCMS Support and uphold the philosophy and mission of the Catholic Church and the Owensboro Catholic School System. Requirements and qualifications Have a passion for teaching adolescents Science Education degree or teaching experience Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Must be self-motivated and self-directed with precise attention to detail, goal-oriented, organized, and a team player with a positive attitude Practicing Catholic preferred, but not required.
