Upper Elementary Teaching Position (ELA, Science/ Social Studies)

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Upper Elementary Teacher to inspire and educate students in grade 4 in English Language Arts (ELA), Science, and Social Studies. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for ELA, Science, and Social Studies. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior strategies. Incorporate diverse teaching methods and learning technologies to accommodate varied learning styles and needs. Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing preparation. Provide individualized support such as tutoring or mentoring to students requiring additional assistance. Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and share best practices in curriculum development. Support students' social-emotional development by creating an inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes empathy. Engage with parents and guardians through conferences and communication channels to discuss student progress and goals. Contribute to school-wide initiatives such as library services, early childhood education programs, or early intervention efforts. Skills Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development within elementary education settings. Strong literacy education skills with the ability to teach reading, writing, and language arts effectively. Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Proficiency in learning technology tools that enhance instruction and student engagement. Ability to utilize behavior management techniques that promote positive student conduct. Writing skills necessary for developing clear lesson plans, assessments, and educational materials.
