Duties Supervise children during before and after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Lead engaging youth group activities, including arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, and educational projects Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to foster a respectful environment Implement age-appropriate curriculum activities that support childhood development and learning goals Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, and team members regarding children's progress and needs Follow first aid protocols and respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies using CPR or AED when necessary Support children with special needs by adapting activities to accommodate individual requirements and promote inclusion Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques Certified in first aid, CPR, and AED operation; additional certifications in childhood development or special education are a plus Demonstrated ability to supervise children outdoors and indoors in various settings Strong team leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues Experience facilitating youth group activities such as tutoring, theater arts, or outdoor recreation is desirable Excellent communication skills to engage children positively and maintain professional relationships with families Embark on a rewarding journey where your passion for working with children makes a lasting difference!
