Job description Knitters, Sewers and creative crafters wanted for a to teach in our offsite classes in Newton, Wellesley and surrounding towns and when schools are closed in our studio for February/April vacation. Are you warm, cheerful, nurturing, energetic, creative and enthusiastic? Are you someone who can create a classroom space which is safe, fun and well run? If so, Hipstitch Studio is seeking someone with your qualities to be a Sewing/knit and Craft Teacher and create happy, supportive and memorable experiences for children in grades 1-5 who are attending our After School Programs located at various elementary schools located in Newton, Wellesley, Brookline and Cambridge. Car and valid drivers license preferred but not required. Must be able to lift 30 pounds ( sewing machines, cart and project bin) Positiion The Teacher will plan and manage sewing and craft projects( with our help) as well as teach either a one hour or 1.5hr class at each school. This position is ideal for someone seeking engaging part-time work where they can make a difference in children's lives while enjoying being part of a collaborative, upbeat and friendly Team. When schools are closed you would be expected to work at one of our studios located in either Newton, Brookline or Wellesley from 8.30-4.30pm. Option to work 1-3 days per week depending on what works best for your schedule.

Mondays 12-3 or 1-4pm Tuesdays 12-3 or 1-4pm Wednesdays 11-2 or 1-4pm Thursdays 12-3 or 1-4pm Fridays 12-3 or 1-4pm School vacation week Hours 8.30-4.30pm
