Lower School Teacher (2026 to 2027 School Year)

St. John's Parish Day School, an Episcopal school serving students from Early Childhood through Grade 5, is seeking a Lower School Teacher beginning August 2026. Our Lower School program balances strong academics with social-emotional development, creating a joyful and engaging classroom experience where children feel known, valued, and inspired. We are seeking an educator who values whole child education, builds meaningful relationships with students and families, and creates a classroom community where curiosity and confidence can grow. Responsibilities Plan and deliver instruction in language arts, mathematics, social studies, and social emotional learning Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners Foster a warm, inclusive, and structured classroom environment Assess and monitor student progress Communicate regularly and effectively with families Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administrators Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Elementary teaching experience preferred Strong understanding of early childhood and lower school development Excellent communication and classroom management skills Collaborative, reflective, and relationship centered approach Salary Range $52,000 to $62,000 based on experience and years of service.
