Young Engineers of Howard County-College Park is looking for a dynamic, energetic instructor to teach engineering and block coding courses to kids in grades 3-5 using our LEGO-based hands-on curriculum and proprietary toolkit. Join us in creating an inspiring space where children can explore STEM concepts through fun, hands-on experiences. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about education and thrive on making a positive impact while developing their leadership skills. Responsibilities Teach two to five elementary school classes/week (90 min each, up to 16 students per class) Create a positive, safe learning environment for students Provide feedback to parents about student engagement as needed. Observe host school protocols daily Supervise classroom assistant(s) Requirements Proven experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings Strong communicator with adults & kids Team player, dependable, flexible, and a problem-solver STEM background (coursework or degree) is a plus Reliable transportation Must pass a criminal background check
Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 - 15.0 per week
