Youth Activity Assistant Instructor - Part-Time Do you love working with kids and staying active? We're looking for an energetic, reliable assistant instructor to help with our youth Kyle's Karate and Floor Is Lava Class programs at local schools. No karate or coaching experience is required! This is a part-time W-2 employee position , typically assisting with 1.5 - 4.5 hours per week during the school year. Classes are generally held on weekday afternoons. Additional classes and special events may also become available. Kyle's Karate is a modern martial arts and self-defense program that combines exciting instruction with practical, effective techniques. Floor Is Lava Class is an active youth enrichment program built around obstacle courses, movement challenges, games, and imaginative physical play. Both programs are designed to keep kids active, engaged, and having fun.
Our ideal candidate has:
Experience working with children An energetic, positive, and dependable personality Strong communication skills and the ability to reliably respond by text or email Reliable transportation and a personal vehicle Ability to pass a background check Availability for weekday afternoon classes Responsibilities may include: Assisting the lead instructor with lessons, games, and activities Helping manage and supervise groups of children Taking attendance Making notes of any incidents or important class information Contacting the school office when necessary Taking occasional photos for parent class reports Helping younger students with equipment or karate uniforms Walking children to pickup locations, restrooms, or the school office Setting up, organizing, and wiping down equipment This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with children, wants a small and consistent part-time schedule, and likes an active job rather than sitting behind a desk.
