Job Description

Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the overall activities offered in the afterschool program. Duties include but are not restricted to supervising staff, scheduling staff meetings, oversee curriculum development to include age appropriate activities including sports, games, crafts, special activities, homework help, etc. Liaison between the school, parents and city; oversees administrative duties, including participant paperwork, staff timesheets, evaluations, recording meals served, etc. Insures good public relations and responsiveness to the participants, parents and citizens of Rockville. Meet with supervisor on a regular basis.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
CPR, First Aid and AED certification required; good communication skills; customer service orientated. Certified Medication Technician (CMT) training may be required.
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge and practical experience in the area of recreation programs; experience (two to three years) working with children grades K-5 in a school and/or recreation setting. Some supervisory experience preferred. Valid Maryland driver's license preferred.
EDUCATION
Educational courses equivalent to two years of college or an equal amount of supervisory experience with children; at least 21 years of age preferred
