Part Time After School Instructor--Towson

OverviewTrellis Services is hiring instructors to work with children and adolescents (ages 9 to 21) diagnosed with autism in our Baltimore County After School Program. This part-time position is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference in the life of a child! Flexible hours, great pay ($19/hr) and participation in our 401K plan! The After School Program is located in Towson 21286. The Program is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 3:00pm-7:00pm and Wednesday 2:00pm-7:00pm. Flexible schedules are available. Instructors MUST have a valid drivers license, auto insurance and willing to transport clients in their personal vehicle.

00PM-7:00PM INSTRUCTORResponsibilitiesAs a Trellis autism instructor, you will work under the supervision of one of our experienced Case Managers and gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

• Provide one-on-one support with community independence, daily living and recreation/leisure
• Flexible schedules; afternoon, evening and weekend shifts
• Additional opportunities available throughout Maryland including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard and Talbot counties
• Ability to advance into other roles at Trellis

QualificationsRequirements:

• Meet the minimum age requirement of 18
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• The ability to pass a background check.
• Minimum 100 hours of working/volunteer/personal experience with individuals with developmental delays
• Reliable transportation/Valid Driver's License/Current Auto InsurancePhysical requirements vary and are based on specific client assignments.

You may be asked to engage in any of the following: push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds, and move quickly, according to client needs. It is necessary to be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
