Job Description

Middle School ELA Teacher (Grades 6-8) Acton School Department Acton Elementary School is looking for an enthusiastic and student-focused Middle School English Language Arts Teacher to join our team working with grades 6-8. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with middle school students and is passionate about helping them grow as readers, writers, and critical thinkers. Our school values collaboration, creativity, and strong relationships with students. The ideal candidate will bring engaging instructional practices, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work as part of a supportive and collaborative team. Responsibilities
  • Provide engaging instruction in reading, writing, grammar, and literature.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support the academic and social growth of middle school students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with families.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learners. Qualifications
  • Maine certification or eligible for certification (grades 5-8 or 6-12) in English Language Arts.
  • Experience with middle school students preferred but not required.
