After-school Teacher Catholic Diocese of Lansing Ann Arbor, MI Job Details Part-time $18 - $20 an hour 23 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Professional development assistance Qualifications School experience Working with students Full Job Description St Francis of Assisi school in Ann Arbor is looking for an energetic after-school teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The program runs from August 28, 2026 until June 8, 2027. This work will be with children from Preschool-8th grade. Hours are M-F from 2:45-6:15. Pay range is $19-$20/hour depending on experience. All holidays, snow days and other school closures during the school year are paid time. Expectations interacts with children in positive, supportive way. provide a safe environment following State of Michigan Child Care licensing regulations understands the value of outside play. A positive attitude about outdoor play regardless of weather is imperative provides positive experiences for students, including planning craft and cooking projects, playing games and helping with homework works well with other adults and shows flexibility positive daily communication with parents good writing skills needed when filling out forms completion of 16 training hours (paid time) per year, outside of scheduled time attends monthly staff meetings Qualifications Experience working with children in a school setting Ability to interact with children in active play, including getting up and down on/off the floor The ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs Must be 18 years of age One on-site location
