Aug 14, 2026 Job Description Cedar Springs Public Schools invites devoted educators to apply for the position of Middle School Social Studies Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. We are excited to engage with quality candidates who are not only results-driven but also committed to inspiring students to develop emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate for grades 6-8 with CX or RX endorsement required (RX preferred). Displays a high degree of knowledge in teaching pedagogy at the middle school level. Adept in best teeaching practices practices, core ideas, and crosscutting concepts. Applies sound principles of learning and motivation in the planning, delivery and assessment phases of instructional delivery Commitment to the district's school improvement process and curriculum development efforts Experience and knowledge of quality instruction and classroom management Establishes positive relationships with students, parents, and school personnel Ability to communicate well at various levels with students, parents, and school personnel Evidence of a positive attitude and human relation skills Evidence of high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in personal and professional matters High level of flexibility

We are located within the city limits of Cedar Springs, Michigan in Kent County. Cedar Springs Public Schools is one of 20 member public school districts within the Kent Intermediate School District (KISD).
