Job Description

Saint Patrick White Lake Technology Teacher Position Saint Patrick in White Lake is seeking a qualified Computer/Technology Teacher for Kindergarten through 8th grade. An ideal candidate will hold high academic and behavioral standards for students through positive classroom management. Shared Time Position This position is a Shared Time position with Clarkston Schools. Along with Saint Patrick scheduling and responsibilities, the individual would also report attendance and have observations conducted through Clarkston Public Schools.
Position Overview:
At Saint Patrick, technology instruction is developmentally appropriate, hands-on, and aligned with state standards (Michigan Computer Science Standards and MiTECS). The Technology Teacher will provide engaging and developmentally appropriate technology instruction for students in grades K-8. Responsibilities include teaching general technology classes K-5, and additional electives courses for 6-8 which could include coding, 3D-printing, yearbook, or other classes that could be determined by new teacher.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Teach general technology classes for Kindergarten-8th grade students Teach elective classes for 6-8th grade students Support other teacher/school programs that may include computer/technology aspects. Help to coordinate STAR Renaissance Testing Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with faculty, administration, and parents to support student growth.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited university. State of Michigan Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education. Ability to complete criminal history, background check, and fingerprinting. Ability to complete Protecting God's Children. Experience with STAR Renaissance Testing preferred.
