Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification for elementary (K-5 or equivalent) Previous experience with general education curriculum preferred Strong classroom management and instructional skills Ability to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment Excellent communication and organizational abilities Commitment to maintaining high academic and behavioral standards
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver daily instruction to 2nd grade students, adapting lessons as needed for diverse learners Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment that encourages student growth and engagement Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to implement school initiatives Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and classroom activities Maintain accurate records and attend required meetings and professional development sessions Uphold policies, procedures, and the mission of the school community The schedule runs from 8:35 am to 3:28 pm, with a half hour unpaid lunch, totaling 32.5 hours per week. This classroom is capped at 28 students by contract, ensuring manageable class size and ample opportunity for individualized attention.
