You'll split responsibilities between two school campuses, ensuring variety in your daily routine and the chance to make a significant impact across different age groups. This position is .7 FTE, offering a balanced schedule and the potential for flexibility.
Key Qualifications:
State certification in General Education (with a focus on Health or Physical Education preferred) Previous classroom teaching experience in a middle or high school setting Strong communication skills and an enthusiasm for working with diverse learners Ability to engage students in topics like personal wellness, nutrition, and fitness Collaborative spirit to partner with staff across multiple campuses
Role Responsibilities:
Instruct three Beginning Weights and Nutrition classes at the high school level Lead engaging Personal Wellness lessons and advisory period at the middle school Develop and deliver creative, standards-based health curriculum Assess student progress and provide individualized support as needed Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes health and wellness Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
