ABOUT HOPE COMMUNITY ACADEMY HOPE
Community Academy is an accredited, public co-educational charter school serving nearly 800 scholars in grades PreK through 12th grade on the East Side of Saint Paul, Minnesota. We are a Hmong language and culture school — one of the only schools in the state where Hmong language, culture, and identity are not just acknowledged but centered as the foundation of everything we do.
Our Mission:
To inspire students to achieve high academic success while embracing Hmong language and culture.
Our Vision:
To be a public school of excellence, with high quality staff, diverse programs, and successful students.
Our Culture Statement:
HOPE is a safe space where all feel valued, empowered, and inspired. Learning at HOPE promotes cultural appreciation, character, and lifelong growth. Our scholars leave ready to lead with purpose and contribute to their community. We are in the early stages of executing our 2026-2028 Strategic Plan, and this is one of the most exciting and transformational moments in HOPE's history. We are building new departments, launching new programs, investing in our people, and reimagining what a Hmong-focused charter school can be for our scholars, families, and community. That is why we are hiring — and why we are looking for people who want to be part of something bigger than a job.
WHY HOPE?
This is not just a school. This is a movement. When you join HOPE, you become part of a community that believes: Every scholar deserves an adult who believes in them without condition. Language and culture are not extras — they are the foundation of learning and identity. The best schools are built by people who care deeply, show up fully, and never stop growing. Staff deserve to feel valued, empowered, and inspired — just as much as our scholars do. At HOPE, you will be part of a team that is grounded in five organizational values: High-Impact, Scholar-Focused, Sense of Belonging, Leadership, and Joyful Excellence. These are not words on a poster — they are how we show up for each other every single day.
