Candidates must have or be able to obtain Missouri certification. Coaching opportunities may be included in the position depending on the qualifications and background of the selected candidate. Pay/Stipend/Benefits Salary stipend is contingent on years of experience. Contingent upon the State of Missouri continuing the Teacher Baseline Salary Grant, the starting pay could be $40000.00. Currently, the Houston R-1 School District offers a fully paid health insurance plan (with full-time teaching position) along with additional benefits. About Houston School Houston School, home of the Tigers, is located in Texas County Missouri and sits within the heart of the Ozarks in South Central Missouri. The school is part of the South Central Association Conference along with seven other schools. Excellent community support is evident in the recent passage of a bond issue which allowed for the construction of a 6.5 million dollar gymnasium complex.
