Program Director Exempt Non Exempt X Primary Function:
Plans, implements, conducts and evaluates activities provided in specific area (s) such as Technology, Prevention/Intervention, Academic Education and Assistance, Career Development, Character and Leadership Development, Health & Life Skills, Sports, Fitness and Recreation, and The Arts and Physical Education, usually within a designated unit. Key Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities): Promote and stimulate program participation. Register members for Club programs and encourage member's participation. Provide instruction on rules of games and activities, and enforce rules of activities in program areas. Effectively plan, implement and conduct programs, services and activities for members. Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of the unit at all times. Prepare daily activity reports. Inventory supplies and equipment in work areas and keep adequate materials on hand. Participate in weekly/bi-weekly unit staff meetings. Participate in special programs and/or events as necessary.

Success in conducting programs that youth find relevant and interesting.
Job Specifications:
Four year degree in related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications Working Conditions:
Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environment issues, and local travel, including exposure to heat, cold, inclement weather conditions and occasional environmental hazards.
