In this dynamic role, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for students after school hours. Your energy and dedication will help foster growth, learning, and fun through a variety of educational and recreational activities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in childcare, education, and youth development. Duties Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and facilitate engaging activities including arts and crafts, sports, theater, tutoring sessions, and outdoor play Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions Assist with homework help and academic support tailored to each child's needs Implement safety protocols such as first aid procedures and emergency response plans when necessary Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other staff to support each child's individual development goals Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages creativity and learning Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting is highly preferred Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hiring Experience with special education needs or behavior management strategies is a plus Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members Passion for working with youth and fostering a safe, inclusive environment This role is perfect for energetic individuals who are committed to making a difference in children's lives while gaining valuable experience in education and childcare.
