Job Description

Job Summary The 2 year old Teacher is responsible for the direct supervision, care, and education of 2 year old children. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate academic, recreational, and enrichment activities in a safe and supportive environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, patient, and passionate about supporting children's academic and personal growth. Key responsibilities
Program Planning and Implementation:
Develop and implement a balanced daily schedule of engaging, age-appropriate activities, arts and crafts, and outdoor play. Create and prepare necessary materials and equipment for daily activities. Ensure all program activities align with the program's purpose and educational goals.
Child Supervision and Safety:
Actively supervise all children during program hours, both indoors and outdoors, to ensure their safety and well-being at all times. Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures, including check-in/check-out, emergency protocols, and mandatory reporting guidelines. Administer basic first aid as needed and complete required documentation.
Academic and Social-Emotional Support:
Provide academic support to students. Offer guidance and emotional support to motivate students and assist with problem-solving. Encourage positive social interaction and behavior among all students, acting as a positive role model.
Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain regular, professional communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and daily activities. Collaborate effectively with other afterschool staff to create a cohesive and high-quality program. Attend staff meetings and professional development workshops as required.
Classroom Management:
Create and maintain a positive, organized, and clean classroom environment. Set clear rules and guidelines for children and manage behavior appropriately. Required qualifications High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred. Experience working with school-age children (K-9th) in an afterschool, classroom, or camp setting. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. A positive, patient, and flexible demeanor. Physical requirements Ability to stand, sit, and kneel frequently. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Physical fitness to participate actively in games and other activities with children.

Part-time Base Pay:
$8.00 - $13.00 per hour
