About This Role Great Bay Kids is thrilled to announce openings for Group Leaders for our 2026-2027 School Year! Are you passionate about working with children and creating fun, educational environments? Join our team! As a Group Leader , you will: Assist the Site Director in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans and activities Ensure a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment Support curriculum delivery in line with Great Bay Kids' values and NH Child Care Licensing Rules & Regulations This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in early education while making a real difference in children's lives. What You'll Do Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards. Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching. Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth. Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences. Ensure all center polices and state regulations are met. Ensure a healthy classroom environment including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children. Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards. Maintain accurate records, forms and files. Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement. Requirements According to the
New Hampshire Child Care Licensing Rules:
A group leader in a school-age program shall be at least 17 years of age, and have one of the following: (1) Experience working with school-age children, totaling 600 hours; (2) Documentation of at least 3 credits in child development, education, recreation, or other field of study focused on children, awarded by an accredited college or university; (3) Documentation that she or he is a certified coach; (4) Documentation of 5 years of parenting experience; or (5) Documentation from or on file with the department that she or he was qualified and employed as a group leader in a school-age program on or before the adoption of these rules in 2022.
