Job Description
Conant Middle High School is seeking a passionate, creative, and fun teacher for our Family and Consumer Sciences program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing lifelong skills in learners in the areas of cooking/nutrition, budgeting and household management, home and self-care skills, and career skills in middle level FACS courses and High School Foods courses. Additionally, candidates will: Create relevant and rigorous learner outcomes written in learning progressions. Collaborate with team members to ensure learners have access to a varied, authentic, and rigorous FACS program. Align curriculum, instruction and assessment to clear learning targets.
Offer opportunities for meaningful student voice and choice.
Establish a strong, positive learning environment.
Serve as a Teacher Advisor for a small group of students.
Assess and monitor learning using a variety of methods and adjust instruction accordingly to individual student needs.
Be a positive and active member of various learning communities within the school.
