Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our team at an arts-integrated STEAM Academy for middle school students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for science and teaching, with the ability to create engaging lessons that inspire students to excel in the subject.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school's curriculum
- Teach science to students in a classroom setting
- Utilize various teaching methods to ensure all students understand the material
- Provide individualized instruction to students who require extra help
- Create and grade assignments, quizzes, and exams that are creative and differentiating
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related field
- NJDOE Teaching Certificate
- Previous experience teaching science
- Proficiency in curriculum development and classroom management
