This is a full-time, on site role designed for educators with experience teaching math in a public middle school setting. This role is for the 2026-27 school year and will begin in August 2026. We believe that a new model of school is required to meet the demands of the 21st century and we are building it. We opened our doors to 66 6th-grade students in the fall of 2023 in Jersey City, NJ. Two years later, Kindle now serves 6th-8th grade students, with plans to expand through 12th grade. We are seeking a Math Teacher to join our middle school team beginning in August 2026. As a Math Teacher and Student Coach at Kindle Education, you will play many roles. We believe that education is best done as a team sport and that we can accomplish exponentially more through collaboration. As a Math Teacher, you will lead workshop-style classes where students explore multiple learning pathways and solve complex problems as they pursue their goals. Overseeing a small group of tutors, you will lesson plan and utilize Kindle Education's curriculum and learning platform to provide one-on-one intervention, small group mini-lessons, and whole class instruction based on each students' needs and the goals of each unit. Through standards-aligned content-based mathematics, students will engage with compelling topics. As a student coach, you will facilitate a daily advisory class where you will partner with parents to guide a small group of students as they find their spark, develop social-emotional and metacognitive skills, set goals for life and learning, and build a sense of purpose. Through advisory sessions, one-on-one coaching sessions, family communication, and progress and data tracking, you will ensure your students are getting the support they need to show consistent growth. As a learner and team member, you will set your own personalized goals with the support of a coach and your peers, ultimately modeling the self-directed growth we expect from our students. Subject Matter Specialization:

Math Grades 5-8, or equivalent certificate from another state strongly preferred. Alignment with Kindle Education's school model, mission, and values. Experience with or willingness to develop skills in design thinking, digital fabrication, prototyping, and project-based learning. Comfort using or learning design curricula, and integrating emerging technologies and creative tools. A genuine excitement for student coaching and supporting the metacognitive and holistic growth of students. Readiness to utilize technology, data, and systems of feedback to ensure transparency, consistency, and continuous improvement. Preference for fast-paced and diverse startup cultures where everyone wears multiple hats. Team player who is willing to give more than they take. Salary range:
