Responsibilities Supervise children in both before-school and after-school settings, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, physical activity, and social interaction. Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to foster respect and cooperation among children. Implement safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response plans to ensure children's safety at all times. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and school staff to communicate progress, concerns, or special needs of students. Support children with homework assistance or tutoring as needed to reinforce learning objectives. Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity areas while adhering to daycare and school health standards. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare centers, camps, youth programs, or tutoring environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively. Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain upon hire. Experience with special education needs or working with children requiring additional support is a plus. Background in sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, or youth programs enhances your ability to engage children creatively. Previous experience in childcare or daycare settings is highly valued. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
