Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that incorporate innovative teaching methods and educational technology. Teach a variety of math subjects including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, and differential equations to middle school students. Assess student progress through regular quizzes, standardized tests, projects, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback to support growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment that respects diverse cultural backgrounds and learning styles. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school-wide initiatives to ensure consistent educational quality. Integrate IT tools and digital resources into lessons to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Support students' individual needs through tutoring, mentoring, and differentiated instruction while adhering to educational compliance regulations. Skills Strong knowledge of advanced math topics such as trigonometry, calculus, organic chemistry (as it relates to biochemistry), genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry, and laboratory research techniques. Proven experience in classroom management and implementing effective behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills for engaging with students from diverse backgrounds, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Proficiency in educational technology integration and instructional design tailored for middle school learners. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and special education needs. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, proofreading materials, and ensuring educational compliance. Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team of educators dedicated to continuous improvement and student success. Background in higher education teaching or research laboratory experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for scientific research is valued.
