Job Description

Gateway Christian School is seeking passionate, Christ-centered elementary teachers who desire to make an impact in the lives of students. Our teachers are not just educators. They are mentors, role models, and partners with families in helping children grow academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a growing Christian faith is a must. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required. Agreement with the mission, philosophy, and Statement of Faith of Gateway Christian School. A desire to disciple students while pursuing academic excellence. Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, parents, and pastoral leadership. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that challenge and encourage students. Integrate biblical truth and a biblical worldview into every subject taught. Foster a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered classroom environment where students are encouraged to grow in character and knowledge. Build positive relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff members. Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding academic and behavioral growth. Attend parent-teacher conferences, faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Participate in curriculum development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school's educational programs. Maintain appropriate classroom management while ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. Care for school property and resources entrusted to your classroom. Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, preparedness, and a commitment to continuous growth as an educator. Be familiar with the policies in both the student and teacher handbooks. Be continually active in furthering professional competence. Submit teaching performance to constant self-evaluation and ongoing administrative evaluation. Why Gateway Christian School?
