Job Summary Under the direction of the Afterschool Program Director, assist in the facilitation and implementation of all Afterschool Programs and support clerical duties. Responsibilities Maintain attendance records for Afterschool staff and students daily. If an instructor or student is absent, take appropriate steps as outlined in procedures. Communicate with the After School staff and make phone calls to parents as necessary. Manage Afterschool Program main office (Perform routine clerical duties such as filing, data entry, duplicating instructional materials and preparing project materials for After School Program. Organize program records as required by SACC, maintain meeting minutes, attendance records, teacher contact logs, incident reports, student records, etc.) Serve as Classroom teacher as SACC ratio requires. Organize and monitor inventory of supplies and materials; report needs to Afterschool Program Director. Attend and participate in required meetings as indicated by Afterschool Program Director and document meetings by preparing meeting minutes and forward to Afterschool Program Director for approval. Email finalized minutes to applicable individuals. Encourage an atmosphere that promotes positive youth development and achievement individually and collectively among students and staff. Aids Afterschool Program Director ensure that space is being utilized effectively and left in a neat and orderly fashion. Constantly check in on classrooms, helping when needed to redirect escalated behaviors throughout programming hours. Help Afterschool Program Director plan/host events for Afterschool Programming. Any other duties specified by the Afterschool Program Director Experience Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education, human services, social sciences or related field At least 2 years of direct experience working with children in educational, childcare, or youth‑development settings Proficiency in clerical tasks and data entry, including maintaining attendance, incident reports, teacher logs, and student records Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations while maintaining a positive attitude; excellent communication skills are essential for engaging children and collaborating with colleagues.
