Job Overview Join our vibrant team as an After-School Instructor, where your energy and enthusiasm will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow beyond the classroom! In this dynamic role, you will create a safe, engaging environment for students after school hours, facilitating a variety of educational and recreational activities. Your dedication will help foster positive development, encourage teamwork, and promote a love of learning. Responsibilities Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and lead engaging activities including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational projects that cater to diverse interests and developmental needs Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies Implement child supervision protocols, including monitoring outdoor play and indoor activities to maintain a safe environment Provide first aid and respond appropriately to minor injuries or emergencies following established protocols Collaborate with team members to develop age-appropriate curriculum tailored to the needs of various youth groups Support children with homework assistance, tutoring, or skill-building exercises as needed Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation required; first aid certification preferred Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment Experience facilitating youth group activities or outdoor work experience is highly desirable Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and enthusiasm Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Background in special education, theater experience, babysitting, or Christian counseling is a plus Join us in creating a fun-filled atmosphere where children can thrive!
