Job Description

Head Start Teacher & Early Head Start Teacher positions $19.64 to $31.43
  • Starting Pay Offer=$19.
64 Position(s) available in Friendship, Wellsville, and HS Teacher in Cuba, NY 2 Anticipated positions for Early Head Start Teacher in Bolivar, NY 10 months and 12-month positions available (Head Start Teacher is 10 months and Early Head Start Teachers are 12 month) Head Start Teachers work with children ages 3-5 and Early Head Start Teachers work with infants up to 3 years old. 35 hours/week, generally Monday
  • Friday, 8:00 am
  • 3:30 pm, with some evening and weekend work required Supports the school readiness of children and families by planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences, organizing, and documenting each child and family's individualized services, and by maintaining a safe, healthy learning environment.
An associates, bachelors or advanced degree in child development or early childhood education
  • or•An associates, bachelors or advanced degree in a related field with 18 credit hours in early childhood education or a related area with experience teaching preschool children.
Six months experience teaching preschool children required for related degree (see above). Must demonstrate competency to provide effective and nurturing teacher-child interactions, plan and implement learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation and use of assessment and promote children's developmental progress, including children with disabilities and dual language learners
  • This is a full-time ten-month position.
