Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Middle School/High School Teachers to inspire and educate students across a variety of subjects, specifically ELA, math, Science and Theology fostering a love for learning and supporting their academic growth. Our school offers a safe and welcoming environment, within the framework of the Catholic faith. Teachers and students have access to innovative teaching methods and learning technologies. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to nurturing students' spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional development while maintaining high standards of educational excellence. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards. Deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and promote active student participation. Utilize various learning technologies and digital tools -including the use of iPads and Canvas - to enhance classroom instruction and student understanding. Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide timely feedback to support growth. Manage classroom responsibilities effectively, ensuring a positive environment conducive to learning while enforcing behavior management policies. Mentor and support students academically and socially, fostering a safe space for open communication and personal development. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, extracurricular activities—including sports coaching—and educational initiatives such as library services or special education programs. Requirements Minimum Bachelor's Degree. Masters and Certification preferred but not required for initial hire. Proven teaching experience is preferred however all applicants are welcome to apply. Strong background and knowledge of academic field. Familiarity with NYS Learning Standards Experience working with children with diverse learning needs and adapting teaching strategies accordingly preferred. Excellent communication skills for public speaking, parent engagement, and team collaboration. Ability to manage classroom responsibilities efficiently while maintaining high standards of behavior management. Reliability Skills in using learning technology tools to facilitate instruction and student engagement.

From $48,000.00 per year
