Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Before & After-School Program Staff member, where your energy and dedication will create a positive, engaging environment for children during crucial after-school hours. In this role, you will facilitate fun, educational activities that promote growth, safety, and social development. Your enthusiasm will help foster a nurturing space where children feel valued and inspired to learn and play. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives while developing your skills in childcare, education, and youth engagement. Duties Supervise children during before-school and after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and implement engaging activities that support childhood development, including arts, sports, games, and educational projects Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support individual student needs, including those requiring special education accommodations Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols diligently Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as a school, daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting is highly desirable Knowledge of classroom management strategies and childhood development principles Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members Ability to manage behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism Background in early childhood education is a plus Passion for working with children and fostering a safe, nurturing environment
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
