Valence College Prep opened in Fall 2019 with 112 fifth graders and reached full enrollment in the Fall of 2022 with 448 scholars. We continue to build our team of passionate, adaptive, and detail-oriented educators united behind our mission - to equip each of our students with the academic skills, professional habits, and strength of character to graduate from college Job Summary As a school, our first core belief is that excellent instruction yields strong academic performance. The importance of this belief is magnified for our scholars learning English, who comprise 30% of our student population. The English New Language Learning Specialist will ensure that ELLs across the school are provided with the necessary support to succeed in the classroom, from push-in and pull-out supports. The EL Specialist will also co-teach Advisory and Small Group Instruction, providing support that scholars need to excel. All teachers report to an instructional leader and participate in weekly collaboration, coaching, and professional development to maximize their positive impact on our scholars.
