Job Description
Position Overview:
As After-School Program Lead Staff, you plan activities, organize support staff, are responsible for data & attendance and communicating with parents, organizing family nights, and ensuring the safety of all youth & staff. Together with your team, you focus on offering elementary, middle/high school students mentorship and engaging activities, supporting them in achieving academic success, improving attendance, and building positive behaviors and social-emotional skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Health and Safety of Members:
You will be responsible for overseeing program staff & youth and ensuring the health and safety of staff, youth, parents, and visitors by following safety policies and procedures compliant with BGCS and SCSD.
Program Success:
You are responsible for the daily schedule and overall program operations. You will develop and maintain a positive culture by participating in activities in addition to ensuring the maintenance of all facilities and equipment.
Relationships:
You will foster positive relationships with students/families, staff, and all community partners. You will work with youth, staff, and parents when encountering challenging behaviors using our PBIS framework & best practices. You are expected to coordinate with community partners & SCSD staff.
Qualifications and Requirements :
•High School Diploma or GED
•The capacity to effectively manage challenging behaviors, cultivate the potential of young individuals, and maintain exemplary standards.
•
Communication and Relationship Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Pay:
$18.00
•$19.50 per hour Expected hours: No more than 29.0 per week
