About the Role Pearlily Montessori is seeking a dedicated, AMS-credentialed Primary Guide (or an aspiring guide currently on a credentialing pathway) to lead one of our 3-6 classrooms. We are looking for a joyful role model committed to educating the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—within an authentic Catholic Montessori environment. You will join a collaborative team known for its warmth, professionalism, and dedication to the Montessori philosophy.
Key Responsibilities Prepared Environment:
Maintain an authentic, meticulously prepared 3-6 Montessori environment that inspires independence, concentration, and deep learning.
Individualized Instruction:
Observe and track each child's development to deliver personalized, sequential Montessori lessons across all curriculum areas.
Global Citizenship & Language:
Integrate rich cultural, geographic, and linguistic lessons into the curriculum to foster a broad, global outlook. High intercultural competence and fluency in a second language (such as Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, or Italian) are highly desirable.
Spiritual & Moral Leadership:
Guide children gently in their moral and spiritual development, modeling Christian values and a spirit of service as a "person for others" in harmony with our Catholic mission.
Community & Family Partnership:
Maintain open, professional communication with families through regular updates, parent-teacher conferences, and parent education events, fostering a strong home-school partnership.
Team Collaboration:
Partner effectively with the team to ensure a harmonious, peaceful, and joyful school culture.
Key Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
Credentialing:
AMS Montessori Primary (3-6) credential preferred. Candidates currently enrolled in an accredited Montessori training program or willing to begin training will be considered.
Mission Alignment:
Deep respect for, or alignment with, a Catholic philosophy of education and a commitment to nurturing the child's spiritual life and character development.
Experience:
Proven experience working with young children in an early childhood or Montessori setting.
Communication Skills :
High intercultural competence with strong English communication skills; multilingual skills are highly valued.
