Job Description
Reporting to the Children's Learning Center Manager, the lead classroom teacher will provide care and educational opportunities for children enrolled in the program. Typical functions required of the classroom teacher: To devise and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with the overall program mission and with relevant educational standards To prepare materials to support planned activities To maintain a guidance plan by utilizing proactive strategies, while encouraging positive social behavior To maintain and support a safe learning environment To assist with the inventory and proper utilization of supplies and consumables To establish and maintain home/school connections To utilize and model active listening skills To communicate effectively with the children, families, co-workers, and LCCC's faculty/staff To be a role model for adult learners assigned to the classroom To assist the Children's Learning Center administrators to meet all regulations and program needs As an LCCC employee, you will have access to all the campus has to offer, while working in one of the leading centers in the county.
