MSD is a private, nonprofit Montessori school dedicated to following the Montessori philosophy and fostering independent, resilient learners who value integrity, community, and peace. This position supports students in elementary and middle school during aftercare hours from 3:00 to 5:30 by providing a safe, engaging, and respectful environment that aligns with Montessori values. Responsibilities Supervise and engage elementary and middle school students during aftercare hours Support students' social development through positive guidance and clear expectations Facilitate age-appropriate activities, including outdoor play, quiet work, and group games Maintain a safe, calm, and respectful environment Communicate effectively with colleagues and school administration Model kindness, patience, and professionalism at all times Uphold and promote the mission and values of the Montessori School of Dayton Qualifications Candidates should meet the following minimum requirements: High school diploma Experience working with children (elementary and/or middle school preferred) Patient, flexible, and positive when working with all children Strong interpersonal and collaboration/teamwork skills Ability to understand and support Montessori philosophy and school values Authorized to work in the
