Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Afternoon School Age Teacher to engage with children after school hours. This role involves supervising and guiding children through fun, educational activities while ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong commitment to child development to our vibrant team. Duties Supervise children during afternoon hours, ensuring their safety and proper behavior through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies Facilitate engaging youth group activities, outdoor play, arts and crafts, and age-appropriate educational lessons Implement first aid protocols when necessary, including administering CPR or AED operation in emergencies Support children with homework, tutoring, or skill-building activities tailored to their developmental needs Foster a positive environment that promotes self-confidence, social skills, and teamwork among children Maintain clear communication with parents regarding children's progress and daily experiences Assist in planning special events or themed activities aligned with monthly program themes Skills Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including daycare or camp experience Strong classroom management skills coupled with behavior management techniques Knowledge of childhood development principles and special education strategies Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiar with first aid protocols Experience facilitating youth programs, sports coaching, theater activities or outdoor work experience preferred Excellent child supervision skills with a focus on safety and engagement Ability to lead team efforts effectively while demonstrating patience and enthusiasm for teaching young children Join us to make a meaningful difference in children's lives by creating a safe, fun, and inspiring environment where they can thrive!

Pay:

$13.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 - 20.0 per week
