Our after-school program provides a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment where students can learn, grow, build relationships, and thrive. Teachers play an important role in creating a positive experience for our students while supporting their academic, social, and personal development. We are looking for someone who is dependable, communicates well, enjoys working with children, and is excited to be part of a team serving students and families. Responsibilities Lead students through structured discussions, educational activities, and enrichment opportunities Provide academic support and encouragement to help students succeed Foster positive student engagement and encourage active participation Create an inclusive environment that promotes learning, collaboration, and personal growth Supervise students and maintain a safe, organized, and productive setting Support positive student behavior and reinforce program expectations Communicate effectively with program leadership, staff, parents, and guardians as needed Assist with daily program setup, activities, and cleanup Demonstrate Christian character by showing the love, compassion, kindness, and integrity of Jesus Christ in interactions with students, families, and coworkers Maintain reliable attendance and communicate promptly with program leadership regarding any scheduling concerns Qualifications Passion for working with children and supporting their academic and personal development Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lead groups of children while maintaining a positive learning environment Dependability and consistent attendance are essential Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team Experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or youth program setting preferred Commitment to fostering a Christ-centered atmosphere that encourages respect, kindness, responsibility, and growth Schedule & Pay Monday-Thursday3:00 PM-5:30 PM$12.00/hour This position is ideal for someone looking for a consistent weekday afternoon schedule and who enjoys making a meaningful difference in the lives of children.
