Youll work closely in a low-behavior environment, often providing dedicated 1:1 support to students, helping them thrive academically and socially.

Key Qualifications:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment preferred Ability to provide effective and respectful support to students with autism Experience or comfort with 1:1 student guidance and classroom assistance Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and parents Reliability, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

Work with high school students in a specialized autism support classroom Assist classroom teachers by implementing individualized education plans and classroom activities Provide 1:1 support to students as needed, ensuring their safety, engagement, and well-being Foster independence, social interaction, and positive behaviors in students Help create an inclusive and welcoming classroom environment Track student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff Perks of this
